Childcare Stärnschnuppe Kriens/Luzern
Our childcare center was founded in the year 2000 in Kriens when child care solutions in the region were rare. Not only parents from Kriens, Horw and Lucerne, but also from the cantons Ob- and Nidwalden appreciate the great location close to highway, the train station Mattenhof Kriens and public transport.
Our day nursery is open from Monday till Friday for children from 3 months and older. There are three groups: one baby group where the smallest benefit from special attentiveness and a quiet surrounding. Then there are two groups for children from 18 months onwards. Our staff is well trained and dedicated to the kids. The daycare center is open to private persons and enterprises too. At the moment, there are some places available. Our location convinces with a generous, comfortable and childfriendly equipment and above all – a lot of space to play. There is even an on-site playground and garden.
The Stärnschnuppe follows the official guidelines of the Swiss Association of Day Nursery (kibesuisse), verified by guardianship authorities of the community of Kriens. The day nursery is operated by the KITA Care ltd., which is responsible for the strategical lead. We welcome you for a personal visit to receive a first impression.

Our philosophy
All kids are different. They smile, play and talk in their own way. They are interested in different things. We use our energy to discover and appreciate the differences. We do not want to make them similar.
Our team is well trained and experienced. We would like to make sure that your child spends an enjoyable and encouraging time. It is our aim that you know your child is in caring and professional hands, while you are at work or doing other duties. Your child will benefit from new social inputs and its education is enhanced.

Admission
We are open for babies from 3 months onwards. Please ask for available weekdays (full day, half days) during a personal visit. At the moment, there are places available and the entry is possible at any time.
We recommend a minimum presence of two days a week for pedagogical reasons.
The Stärnschnuppe is open all year, except for the time between Christmas and New Year. There are no summer holidays.
In the following fees all costs are included (such as baby food, craft materials, Christmas and birthday gifts etc. The fees are paid in monthly rates, we only charge 48 weeks.
